J non-fiction books are great for those subjects on which one just wants a brief overview without the in-depth detail.Sometimes even briefer than encyclopedia entries aimed at adults, J books hit the main points in a simple, straightforward way. This is the case with "The Lakota Sioux".In 5 to 10 short minutes, I learned a few new things and was reminded of a few things I'd forgotten. For those who want more, there are plenty of adult level biographies and history books that will delve into the whys and wherefores, but this was just right for my purposes.
